It was another long day in Athens with a delayed start time of 2pm. We had a small postponement onshore for about an hour. We sailed one race in fairly light air conditions, but unfortunately the breeze was dying and went away before we could get a second race in. We got a nice start up from the pack at the pin and were able to get into the front group. Again, the downwinds are proving to be difficult with the chop. It is really hard in the light air to have a speed advantage downwind as there is not enough wind to start surfing and pumping. However, we are continually increasing our speed upwind and learning as much as we can from our coach, Dave, and all the experience he brings to the table. Looking forward to another day of racing tomorrow. We have three races scheduled with a 1pm start time.
