South Americans Day 2

We got beautiful Rio sunshine again today and we are so lucky to be here getting experience on the race course. We started on time today and had three races again, but in lighter wind than yesterday. Since it was lighter, the current was more of a factor and we got to see a little taste of what this “Rio current” is all about. For the test event we will be sailing three days outside and two days inside, the inside courses being much more affected by current. For the South Americans, we have been sailing all three days inside which has been an awesome learning experience. The racing went so so today. We struggled again to get off the starting line and with the current making it a one way track at times, the start becomes very important. We had good comebacks in the first and last race of today and are going to sail strong tomorrow with a big goal of getting off the line. We have some team events tomorrow which we are looking forward to! So far, the sailing here has been pristine!

We would like to thank the sponsors and supporters of the US Sailing Team Sperry Top-Sider especially our title sponsor Sperry Top-Sider.
